A recorded conversation between drag performer, photographer/visual artist, and (self described) loud bitch Dylan Thomas (aka Mthr Trsa) and Trans Oral Historian Ryan Hoover. Strewn over Trsa’s kitchen counter were the various zines she has produced and using them as anchor points, we traversed through her life, the numerous jobs she has performed in, and her experience with the Brooklyn drag community and family. Rimming, working on a weed farm, more rimming, watching someone take a bite out of a raw fish pulled from their panties, HOLE PICS, public sex, black trans liberation, and showing up for one another; Mthr Trsa’s life, drag artistry, unhinged Instagram stories, and the vast complexities of her life show a nuanced trans experience with the labor and joy of art, community, and so much more.
